1. Why build an email list?

- Ask any online marketer which is the most valuable asset in their business, and most of them will answer their email list.

Ask them why and they will answer: It is the place where I can build relations with my subscribers and it is the only traffic source which i own 100%. Social media accounts and pages can be closed and you lose that traffic source forever. Your email list can't be closed, and if your email provider goes down, you can always move your list to another provider.

2. Do you need to have high technical skills and knowledge?

Not at all. You will gain knowledge and skills with time. I have seen people from all age groups, without prior skill and knowledge, become successful marketers. The key to success is consistency and an open mind. Most software got click and drag functions, so you don't need any coding skills    

3. Do I have to work long hours and be in front of my computer all day?

No you don't. Sure you can choose to work long hours, but it will most likely burn you out and make you quit. Working 2 short 25 minutes sessions, 5 days a week, will put you far ahead of most people. The key is again consistency.  

4. So there is almost no work to do?

You need to work with your business. There are many marketers promoting one click softwares, promising almost no work or earning extreme amounts from day 1, and I did buy and tried a lot of them when I started out, but most of them offered no value at all. So the honest answer is there is consistent work that needs to be done, but you can automate most of your email marketing by setting it up and then using a software to send the emails out for you. You can prewrite the emails and the resources you want to share with your subscribers, and when someone opt-in to your list, they will get this emails automatically.

Then you can focus on doing other things to grow your business, like getting traffic and maybe create you own products (Optional)

Time is the most value asset we humans have, and you can achieve more time freedom by building your email list and your income. And you can work from anywhere you want, as long as you have an internet connection

5. But is not email soon outdated?

On the contrary. Email is still important and will not disappear any time soon.

6. How much money can I make?

It is a general suggestion that you will earn 1 dollar per subscriber on your list per month, but if you provide value and are honest with your list, you will earn much more than that. Value can be free tips, like how to get more productive, links to websites and free tools that can help and listing the positive and negative sides of a product you are promoting.

7. Can I learn all this by myself?

Sure you can, but I will suggest finding someone to guide you. If you can find a coach or someone that has already achieved what you are trying to do, it will makes things a lot easier. Not only can you learn from their mistakes, but you will also get a clear pathway to success.
